Getting to Governors Island
Governors Island is a car-free urban park accessible only by ferry. Ferries are available year-round from Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Service from Manhattan operates every half hour from the Battery Maritime Terminal (adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal) in Lower Manhattan. Tickets are required to board. Please see schedules and exceptions here.

Service from Brooklyn is operated by NYC Ferry on the South Brooklyn route. Tickets are required to board. Please see schedules and ticket information here.
