The Institute for Public Architecture (IPA) marks the culmination of the 2024 Summer Independent Project Residency program with its final Open [Block] House program and exhibition at the historic IPA Block House on August 17th, with the exhibition AFTERIMAGE open to the public on weekends from August 17th-25th.
The 2024 Summer Fellows will present their current research and installations in a group show situated within Building 9 at Nolan Park, the 185-year old structure that has served as their home during the 11-week residency program. Fellows Sarah Dunham, Mitchell Gaudet, Dr. Harriet Harriss, Jessica Martin, and Alejandro Saldarriaga Rubio will exhibit work that addresses critical topics in contemporary design culture: materiality, temporality, politics, and ecology.
AFTERIMAGE will open on Saturday August 17th to the public from 12-4pm, and will have public viewing hours from 12-4pm on weekends from August 17th-25th.
