Matthew Ledwidge
2022 Summer Fellow
Matthew Ledwidge is an artist working with architectural intervention, photography, sculpture, and video to create projects that tell stories about the historical conditions of the production of knowledge, imagination, and attention in specific places. Recent works examined the spatial politics of urban form, simulation technologies, community planning practices, and strategies for art and science collaboration. Exhibitions of his work have taken place at the Taipei Artist Village, Taipei; SOMA, Mexico City; Sakiya, Ramallah; Gallery Elektrozavod, Moscow; GGG, Basel; and Viewpoint Gallery, Irvine. His work has been supported by the New England Foundation for the Arts, Blackwood Gallery, and the MIT Transmedia Storytelling Initiative.
