Ann Dinh
2026 Summer FellowAnn T. Dinh is an emerging multidisciplinary designer and educator with expertise spanning industrial design, architecture, and graphic visualization. She blends analytical rigor with artistic sensibility—traits that shaped both her academic and professional path. Ann holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University and earned her Master of Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design in 2022, where she received the IDSA Graduate Student Merit Award. Ann serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute, where she was the AICAD Postgraduate Teaching Fellow from 2023 to 2025. Ann previously imparted her knowledge and expertise in architecture and product design at Drexel University and Temple University. She was an Artist Fellow in Residence at the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center’s Pao Arts Center and Asian Community Development Corporation. She was also the Sara Little Turnbull Fellow in support of Tiny WPA. Ann is currently a member of Pratt’s Research Yard Decarbonization Group.
Ann champions culturally-aware design that transcends universal templates. She believes in embedding context and identity within product forms and materials, designing for particular communities rather than the abstract “everyone”. With a forward-looking view, she sees design increasingly balancing digital and physical realms—and approaches AI with cautious intentionality, mindful of bias and cultural nuance. Ann T. Dinh continues to define a path where design, culture, and community converge—crafting meaningful artifacts, guiding emerging minds, and reshaping how design holds space for identity and story. Her design work has been featured in Milan Design Week, Wanted Design, and the RISD Triennial.
