Noah Gotlib
2024 Fall Fellow
Noah Gotlib is an architectural designer and researcher based in Toronto
with strong interests in systems thinking and ecological design. He
studied architecture at Toronto Metropolitan University and the
Architectural Association in London, where he gained his M.Arch/AA
Diploma (with commendation) in 2020. He has worked for a number of
international design and landscape architecture practices in the UK and
Canada, and has taught design studio and workshops at the Architectural
Association. He is the co-founder of Eolith, a think tank engaging in
spatial research, design, and consultancy.
Noah’s interests lie in climate change’s effects on the settlement patterns in North America. He is engaged in a project studying managed retreat, the systematic removal/relocation of communities and infrastructure away from environmental risks, and the impact of this process on cultural perceptions of nature and property. His work on the topic has received support from the Canada Council for the Arts.
