2022 Fall Fellow
David Cunningham founded his architecture and planning studio over fifteen years ago. Prior to settling in New York City, he worked in Baltimore, Jackson (Mississippi) and London. In addition to directing the practice, David taught urban design and housing at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark. Prior to this, he directed studios at Pratt Institute, New York Institute of Technology and Syracuse University, where his experience included one-year teaching in Florence, Italy. David’s interest in public architecture dates to an undergraduate internship working on the excavation of the Athenian Agora, the civic center of ancient Athens.
