Alec Rovensky


Residency Director


Alec Rovensky is the Residency Director at the IPA. Alec helped coordinate the expansion of the IPA to the historic Block House facility on Governors Island and is now managing the IPA’s Residency program for visiting architects, urban designers, and other practitioners of the public realm. He coordinates programming at the Block House, including lectures, public events, and workshops, and leads the IPA’s logistics and marketing efforts. Alec is a member of the Next Generation Council at Madame Architect and is on the advisory committee of the Harlem Sculpture Walk. He has worked as an architectural designer at Jenny Peysin Architecture, a Ukrainian-led design firm based in Brooklyn, and as an engineering aide at the World Trade Center site with the Port Authority of NY & NJ. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the Syracuse University School of Architecture.
